DC/MD support group members:
On Tuesday September 17 we met in Rockville. We welcomed new members, got caught up, and heard from guest speaker & new member, Lisa Yuan. She is a cochlear implant user, and also, through the Hearing Loss Association of America, is a Community Assistive Technology Trainer. She explained cochlear implants, and told us (and showed us) a lot about home devices that can help us address hearing loss and hyperacusis. We learned that there are many providers supplying useful devices in this area.
