Our guest will be, via interactive video call-in, Bryan Pollard, President of the Boston-area nonprofit, Hyperacusis Research Limited . His specific area of study is hyperacusis and the discomfort/pain caused by loud sounds. New scientific experimentation with drugs and devices are in the works, and he will give us an update.
Bryan wrote about his personal experience with hyperacusis (beware of giant wood-chippers!), and how he got involved in hyperacusis research and the ATA, in the Fall 2016 issue of Tinnitus Today. The entire issue is here – see page 9 for Bryan’s fascinating article.
