Bio: Dr. Gail Linn earned her AU.D from Salus U, Elkins Park, PA and her MAUD from U of Northern Iowa. She has a certificate of clinical competence in Audiology (CCC -A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). A former ATA board member, Dr. Linn is an ex officio on a number of practice documents, including Cochlear Implants, Auditory Integration Training and The Audiologist Role in Occupational Hearing Conservation, and Hearing Loss Prevention Programs.
Topic: Dr. Linn will speak to our group about how an Audiologist goes about evaluating the tinnitus/hyperacusis patient’s symptoms and condition overall, and how that impacts treatment recommendations. She will explain the measurement scheme she uses, how she interprets the results, and where applicable, recommends and customizes various devices, such as hearing aids and maskers, for optimal effectiveness.
